Light, airy and softly textured, silk georgette has an elegant fluidity that moves beautifully with the body.


Woven from 100% mulberry silk with tightly twisted yarns, it has a fine crêpe texture and a slightly dry hand. It is less transparent and more substantial than silk chiffon, while remaining lightweight, breathable and comfortable to wear.


Ideal for summer dresses, bridesmaid dresses, skirts, blouses, eveningwear, loose trousers, scarves, fashion accessories, doll clothing, curtains and decorative projects. A lining may be needed depending on the design.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS


Pre-wash before cutting and sewing to allow for natural shrinkage.


⚬ Hand wash gently in cool or lukewarm water

⚬ Machine wash only on a cool, delicate cycle using a laundry bag

⚬ Use a mild, pH-neutral silk detergent

⚬ Do not use acidic, alkaline or disinfectant cleaners

⚬ Do not bleach, soak or wring

⚬ Do not tumble dry

⚬ Air dry away from strong sunlight

⚬ Iron on the reverse side using a low silk setting
