Silk is best understood through touch. CROSE offers small fabric swatches, selected color cards, and limited sample books to help designers, makers, schools, textile students, and buyers experience real silk before ordering.
Color, weight, drape, transparency, surface reflection, and hand feel may appear different on screen. A physical swatch allows you to see how a fabric moves, catches the light, and feels in the hand.
How to Order Small Samples
For most fabrics, small swatches can be ordered directly from the product page.
Open the fabric product you are interested in and review the available color or length options. Where available, select the Small Sample option before adding the item to your cart.
If a Small Sample option is not available, please contact us with the fabric name, color number, and product link. We will confirm whether a sample can be arranged.
Small Fabric Swatches
Small swatches are suitable for checking color, surface, weight, thickness, drape, transparency, and hand feel before ordering yardage.
Swatches are normally cut from available stock. Their size may vary depending on the fabric type, stock condition, and cutting method.
Please note that silk is produced in batches. New stock may differ slightly in color from an earlier sample. Chinese heritage silks may also vary in base fabric, dye depth, surface character, and hand-finishing effects—particularly Mud Silk, Hongyunsha, Hualuo Mud Silk, and other traditionally finished fabrics.
A swatch provides a reliable impression of the material but cannot guarantee that every future production batch will be exactly identical.
Color Cards and Sample Books
Color cards or sample books may be available for selected regularly stocked silk fabrics.
Because our collection includes many fabric structures, weights, finishes, and color systems, complete sample books are limited and cannot be guaranteed for every fabric or customer.
When available, sample books are generally reserved for wholesale clients, design studios, textile schools, long-term buyers, and professional material projects.
If you require a sample book, please provide your company, school, or studio information, the fabrics you are interested in, and your estimated future order quantity.
Samples for Schools and Material Study
Fabric swatches can also be used for textile education and material exploration.
We believe students and young makers should have opportunities to touch real silk, compare natural materials, and understand quality through direct experience. A small piece of silk can demonstrate weight, light, softness, structure, texture, and finishing in ways that photographs cannot.
For schools, textile classes, or educational projects, please tell us about your project, the number of students, and the types of silk you would like to introduce.
Before Ordering Yardage
We strongly recommend ordering a swatch before purchasing larger quantities, particularly for bridalwear, couture, color-sensitive designs, interior projects, repeat orders, or wholesale orders.
Because fabrics sold by the yard are cut specifically for each order and cannot normally be returned, checking a swatch first can help prevent misunderstandings about color, weight, texture, transparency, or hand feel.
For repeat or time-sensitive orders, please contact us before purchasing so we can check whether the available fabric is from the same stock batch as your previous sample or order.
