Silk Materials
Silk is best understood through touch. CROSE offers small fabric samples, selected color cards and limited sample books to help buyers, designers, schools and textile students experience real silk before ordering.
Color, thickness, drape, surface reflection and hand feel can look different on screen. A small swatch allows you to see how a silk fabric moves, catches light and feels in the hand.
Our swatch service is designed not only for wholesale buyers, but also for makers, students, schools, textile classes and anyone who wants to understand what real silk feels like.
How to Order Small Samples
For most fabrics, small swatches can be ordered directly from the product page.
Please open the fabric product you are interested in and check the available color or length options. Where available, choose the Small Sample option before adding the item to your cart.
If you cannot find a Small Sample option on a product page, please contact us with the fabric name, color and product link. We will check whether a small sample can be arranged.
Small Samples
Small samples are suitable when you need to check color, surface, thickness, drape, transparency and hand feel before ordering yardage.
They are especially useful for silk fabrics where screen color may not fully show the true shade, sheen, texture or transparency of the material.
Small samples are usually cut from available stock. Size may vary depending on the fabric type, stock condition and cutting method.
Please note that silk is produced in batches. New stock may have slight color differences from an earlier sample. For Chinese heritage silks, new stock may also vary in base fabric, dye depth, surface character and hand-finishing effect, especially for Mud Silk, Hongyunsha, HUALUO Mud Silk and other traditionally finished fabrics.
A swatch helps you understand the material more clearly, but it should not be treated as a permanent guarantee that every future batch will be exactly identical.
Color Cards and Sample Books
For selected regular silk fabrics, CROSE may offer color cards or sample books when available.
Because our silk range includes many fabric types, weights and color systems, full sample books are limited and cannot be guaranteed for every fabric or every customer.
When available, color cards and sample books are usually reserved for wholesale clients, textile schools, design studios, long-term buyers and serious material projects.
If you need a sample book for a professional project, please contact us with your company, school or studio information, the fabric type you are interested in and your estimated future quantity.
For Schools and Silk Experience
Swatches are not only for placing orders. They can also be used for material experience.
We believe young makers and students should have the chance to touch real silk, compare natural materials and understand quality from an early age.
A small piece of silk can show weight, light, softness, structure, texture and finishing in a way that photographs cannot.
For schools, textile classes or educational projects, please contact us with your purpose, number of students and the type of silk materials you would like to introduce.
Before Ordering Yardage
We strongly recommend ordering a small sample before purchasing larger quantities, especially for bridalwear, couture, color-sensitive projects, interior projects or wholesale orders.
Cut fabrics are difficult to return once prepared, so checking a swatch first can help avoid misunderstanding about color, thickness, texture or hand feel.
For time-sensitive or repeat orders, please contact us before ordering so we can check whether the fabric is from the same stock batch as your previous sample or order.
